Everything worked fine but when we went to get the activation code for the product we had to call QB support, and found out that the license had expired a year ago. When I go to change the License Number within the QB Change License Number menu, it lets me type it in, accepts it, and we restart QB.When restarting, it shows the updated license no., but not an updated product number.
Reset Quickbooks Registration License Had ExpiredWhere would I be able to edit this number in my program files or registry to where it will display the right product key. ![]() I have not been able to locate the documents that hold this information after about an hour of looking. This seems like an uncommon problem that might not have a resolution. Reset Quickbooks Registration Install The SoftwareI could re-install the software and put the information in again but that would require us contacting Novelaspect and asking them to do it because it is on a hosted qb server. Verify qbregistration.dat has the correct product number (if not add it, save close). Open quickbooks and verify change by selecting F2 or ctrl 1). If you know any pro-advisers their support access is much better about these kinds of issues. The issue is that the product number (located under license number) is incorrect so it will never be able to validate until the Product number is changed. When we update the License number, it accepts that but does not allow us to change the product number. There is nowhere in any QB menu that allows you to change the product number that I am aware of, only License number.
